Marlon D. Barabin, Chairman of the Board- Is co-owner of New Community Construction (NCC) LLC. NCC is a residential remodeling and home builder responsible for many rebuilding efforts around the Houston after many of its natural disasters. Marlon is a retired disabled Air Force veteran that served 2 tours in Iraq. Marlon brings his business acumen and his structured military leadership style to the Mansa Musa LLC organization. Marlon’s goal is to empower as many future entrepreneurs as he can through investing and mentoring.

Arthur James, is an astute real estate contractor and former co- owner of New Community Mortgage Company.  His 10+ years of experience incorporates market knowledge, real estate sales, mortgage financing, bidding, negotiating, property analysis skills and real estate investing which makes him the perfect mentor for this program. He also currently co- owns New Community Construction, LLC.  and is the primary contractor for our housing rehabilitation projects.  He has successfully completed renovation of numerous properties and currently has 10 properties being renovated and/or under construction. 

New Community Construction LLC. (NCC) was established in January 2003. NCC’s primary specialty, but not limited to, is in the repair/rehabilitation of residential and commercial properties. In 2005, NCC jumpstarted its success when it was mobilized to Port Arthur, Beaumont, and Orange Texas after Hurricane RITA. NCC performed numerous repairs on roofing, siding, drywall, flooring, cabinets, Blue Roof, fences, electrical, and HVAC on homes and businesses devastated by the hurricane. Since 2005, NCC has expanded its scope by engaging in multi-family and commercial properties. As a growing company NCC will continue to provide exceptional customer service while providing a reasonable, quality product.
